雅思口语考前，有一个身份验证的步骤。作为最开始考生最容易紧张的时间，一个完美的开局也许是雅思口语考试成功的一小半。
首先，熟悉一下（几乎）千篇一律的问题：
1. “Good morning (good afternoon). My name’s X. Can you tell me your full name, please?” (就是问 Please tell me your name.)
2. “What can I call you?” (就是问 What shall I call you? = What should I call you? = What would you like me to call you?)
3. “Can you tell me where you’re from?” (就是问 Where are you from?)
4. “Can I see your identification, please?” (就是问 Could I see your identification, please? = May I see your identification, please?)
我们必须明确这一部分的主要目的是核实身份，而非正式考试，但至少会影响第一印象（First Impression）.
<千万注意> 考官只是想快速的核实身份，所以千万别给很长的答案，这样既打乱了考官的时间安排，又会直接影响后面的考试以及分数。那么到底该怎么回答才最完美呢？！咱们分别来介绍。
问题1. “Good morning (good afternoon). My name’s Jack. Can you tell me your full name, please?” (= Please tell me your name.)
比较合适的答案：
“Good morning, Jack. My name is Wang Jianfeng.” 加上考官的名字显得更尊重。
或者说：“My name is Li Fang but you can call me Mary” 这样也可以好处是下一个问题
考官就不用问了，替他节省了时间。
请不要说：
Wang is my family name and Jianfeng is my given name.” 画蛇添足+费时间。同时也不要说“My Chinese name is _____”
问题2. “What can I call you?” (= What shall I call you? = What should I call you? = What would you like me to call you?)
回答：“Just call me Wang.” or, “Please call me Jianfeng.”
或者 “You can call me Stephen.” 但要口语略读 Can 发成“肯”而不是“砍”。
不要回答：
You may call me Stephen.” 这是上级或长辈 许可的口气
问题3. “Can you tell me where you’re from?” (= Where are you from?)
回答：“I’m from Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning Province.” Or, “I’m from Shenyang, Liaoning Province. That’s in north-east China.” 或 “I’m from Qingdao, a coastal city in Shandong.”
如果出生地址和你的ID上不一致，你可以说“Well, I grew up in Changchun, Jilin Province but I've been studying in Beijing for the past four years.”
注意：省市之间别用OF “I'm from Shenyang of Liaoning Province.”
当你在中国参加考试，不要画蛇添足 “I’m from Beijing, the capital of China.”
注意单复数：别犯致命错误 “I’m a local people”
问题4. “Can I see your identification, please?” (= Could I see your identification, please? = May I see your identification, please?)
回答：“Sure. Here you are.”
注意：不要画蛇添足，在前面加上Of course.
绝对不要说：“Here you go.” or, “There you go.” 这是对小孩子的叫法或者教练对学员的说法。上对下。
也不要说“Here it is.”，语法上没什么错误，但对考官和母语人士而言，这是丢东西找到了后归还时才说的话。
